Build a small, playable browser game inspired by "CROAKS" (Shooter, Strategy, Artillery). Concept: worms, but with frogs. Tone/hook (from the game's own page): Browser-native multiplayer artillery. Destructible terrain, 12+ weapons, 2-minute matches. Play 2v2 / 4v4 / 6v6 vs friends, strangers, or the AI. Tech: use PixiJS; keep it to a single page that loads instantly with no login or install. Controls (as seen on the original's screen): mouse to aim or look, tap on mobile, Esc/P to pause. Show them on a short how-to-play screen. Multiplayer: the original is listed as multiplayer. Start with a local or bot opponent, then add online play (e.g. WebSockets) once the core loop is fun. Core loop: include an optional local high-score table, progress saved in localStorage. Steps: 1) get the core mechanic playable with placeholder shapes, 2) add win/lose conditions and restart, 3) polish feel, visuals and sound, 4) add your own twist (setting, character or one new rule). Make it your own: don't copy the original's name, art, text or code.
Remix notes (our suggestions, not the creator's)
CROAKS has one of the best one-line pitches on Vibe1Up: worms, but with frogs. It's built on PixiJS, tagged Shooter, Strategy and Artillery, and its creator marks it multiplayer and mobile-ready. Artillery games are timeless because every shot is a little bet on angle, power and wind, and swapping in frogs adds instant personality. Remix idea (our suggestion): keep turn-based artillery and change the creatures or the terrain. Snails on a garden wall, crabs on a sandcastle, or birds on swaying trees all suggest their own weapons and movement. Prompting tip: ask your AI tool for destructible terrain using a bitmap mask, a wind indicator, and a turn timer. Add one silly weapon at a time and test each with a friend. Keep the aiming UI big and clear for touch screens, since the original plays on phones.
