Build a small, playable browser game inspired by "Flying Chessboard" (Shooter). Concept: details on the original are thin, so play it first and pick one mechanic you like as your starting point. Tech: use plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript (or a lightweight engine you know); keep it to a single page that loads instantly with no login or install. Controls: keyboard and mouse on desktop, shown on a short how-to-play screen. Players: single-player. Steps: 1) get the core mechanic playable with placeholder shapes, 2) add win/lose conditions and restart, 3) polish feel, visuals and sound, 4) add your own twist (setting, character or one new rule). Make it your own: don't copy the original's name, art, text or code.
Remix notes (our suggestions, not the creator's)
Flying Chessboard is tagged Shooter with no pitch, and the name alone suggests a chessboard that moves, or pieces that fight in the air. Chess plus shooting is a bold mash-up. Remix idea (our suggestion): pick one reading of the name and commit. Either a chessboard flying through space while you shoot obstacles, or a shooter where pieces fire according to how they move in chess (bishops on diagonals, knights in L-shapes). Both begin from the name and go in different directions. Prompting tip: ask your AI tool for either a scrolling shooter with a board-shaped ship, or a grid shooter with piece-based attack patterns. Store piece behaviour as data. Play the original to see which meaning it leans toward, then remix that version.
