Build a small, playable browser game inspired by "Pawnfall" (Strategy). Concept: A roguelike strategy game where the units are chess pieces. Tech: use Three.js; keep it to a single page that loads instantly with no login or install. Controls: keyboard and mouse on desktop, shown on a short how-to-play screen. Players: single-player. Core loop: include a visible score, progress saved in localStorage. Audio: add simple sound effects and music (start audio on the first click/tap). Steps: 1) get the core mechanic playable with placeholder shapes, 2) add win/lose conditions and restart, 3) polish feel, visuals and sound, 4) add your own twist (setting, character or one new rule). Make it your own: don't copy the original's name, art, text or code.
Remix notes (our suggestions, not the creator's)
Pawnfall is a Three.js strategy game pitched as a roguelike where the units are chess pieces. Chess pieces are a smart choice for units. Everyone already knows how they move, so the game can skip a tutorial and get straight to new rules and surprises. Remix idea (our suggestion): keep familiar movement rules and change the board or the goal each run. Boards with holes, pieces that upgrade when they capture, or enemies that don't follow chess rules at all would add roguelike variety. Prompting tip: ask your AI tool to define piece movement as data, generate boards from a seed, and show all legal moves when a piece is selected. Add a simple upgrade pick between fights. Keep each battle short, around three to five minutes, so a full run fits in a coffee break. Clear move previews make strategy readable on any screen.
