Build a small, playable browser game inspired by "Uncanny Chess" (Strategy).
Concept: Strategy. Chaos. Chess.
Tone/hook (from the game's own page): A platform for live games. Browser-native, real-time, end to end — news feed, score, voice, chat, daily paper, identity, storefront. Chess is open tonight; brawl and worms warming up. More on the bench.
Tech: use Three.js; keep it to a single page that loads instantly with no login or install.
Controls: touch controls (tap/drag) that work on a phone plus keyboard and mouse on desktop, shown on a short how-to-play screen.
Multiplayer: the original is listed as multiplayer. Start with a local or bot opponent, then add online play (e.g. WebSockets) once the core loop is fun.
Core loop: include a visible score, an optional local high-score table, progress saved in localStorage.
Steps: 1) get the core mechanic playable with placeholder shapes, 2) add win/lose conditions and restart, 3) polish feel, visuals and sound, 4) add your own twist (setting, character or one new rule).
Make it your own: don't copy the original's name, art, text or code.

Remix notes (our suggestions, not the creator's)

Uncanny Chess is a Three.js strategy game pitched with three words: Strategy. Chaos. Chess. It's multiplayer and mobile-ready. Chess with chaos added is a great remix base, because everyone knows the rules, so every surprise lands immediately. Remix idea (our suggestion): keep chess and add one chaos rule at a time. A random piece swaps every five turns, squares that crumble, or pieces that remember who captured them would each make games unpredictable but still strategic. Let players vote on which chaos rule to use. Prompting tip: ask your AI tool to build on a correct chess move generator (test it well), then add chaos rules as separate modules you can switch on or off. Show clearly when a chaos event happens and what it changed. Chaos is fun when players understand it. Confusing changes just feel unfair.
