Build a small, playable browser game inspired by "Virus Game" (Strategy). Concept: Virus Game. Tech: use Vanilla JS / Canvas; keep it to a single page that loads instantly with no login or install. Controls: keyboard and mouse on desktop, shown on a short how-to-play screen. Multiplayer: the original is listed as multiplayer. Start with a local or bot opponent, then add online play (e.g. WebSockets) once the core loop is fun. Core loop: include a visible score, an optional local high-score table, progress saved in localStorage. Steps: 1) get the core mechanic playable with placeholder shapes, 2) add win/lose conditions and restart, 3) polish feel, visuals and sound, 4) add your own twist (setting, character or one new rule). Make it your own: don't copy the original's name, art, text or code.
Remix notes (our suggestions, not the creator's)
Virus Game is a Vanilla JS / Canvas strategy game, and its pitch is just its name. It's multiplayer. A spreading virus is a natural strategy theme. Growth, containment and territory all fit, and the board changes every turn. Remix idea (our suggestion): keep spreading-as-strategy and decide what spreads and how. Moss on stones, rumours through a village, or colours bleeding across a canvas would all work, each with its own spreading rule. Let players compete for the board or co-operate to contain an outbreak. Prompting tip: ask your AI tool for a grid, a simple spreading rule (like each cell infecting neighbours with a set chance), and turn-based moves that block or boost spread. Show a live percentage of the board each player controls. Keep the theme friendly and abstract. Short matches with simple rules let players learn the strategy quickly.
