Flipside Classic recipe
Recipe tested ✅
We gave this exact recipe to a fresh AI session and it built a working game on the first try.
The Flipside recipe produced a game the AI named Polar Dash.
What we checked: it starts, the controls work (keyboard and tap), pause works, and the layout fits a phone and a desktop screen.
Limits: One test, one AI model, not a guarantee.

The exact recipe
Make an original one-button browser game in a single self-contained index.html with a <canvas> (640x300) and plain JavaScript, no libraries. Mechanic: gravity flip. The player is a square on a floor (y=250) or a ceiling (y=50). Pressing Space, clicking or tapping flips gravity; the square accelerates toward the other surface (acceleration ~0.9 px/frame², max speed 12). Obstacles: red rectangles 24px wide, 26–60px tall, attached to either the floor or the ceiling at random, scrolling left. Spawn gap shrinks as speed rises (start 4 px/frame, +1 every 600 frames). Score = frames survived / 6. Game over on overlap; tap to restart. Save the best score in localStorage. Draw everything with simple shapes. Use your own name and art. Show clear Start, Pause/Resume and Restart buttons. Run physics at a fixed 60 updates per second, independent of screen refresh rate. Pause when the tab is hidden and require Resume. Support touch and keyboard without repeated flips when a key is held. Best-score storage is optional and must not break the game if unavailable.
Full checklist (automated browser checks)
- Starts on deliberate input; score stays idle before Start
- Fixed-step scoring compared at 60 Hz and 120 Hz rendering
- Keyboard Space and emulated phone touch flip gravity
- Held-key repeats do not trigger repeated flips
- Pause/Resume and Restart work
- Simulated tab hiding pauses and requires explicit Resume
- Obstacle collision ends the round; tap restarts
- Best score persists when storage is available; blocked storage does not break play
- 390 px touch-emulated and 1280 px desktop Chromium layouts have no horizontal overflow
Limitations
- One recipe in one fresh Hermes session, not a promise about other models or AI builders
- Automated desktop Chromium and phone-touch emulation, not physical iPhone/Android or Safari certification
- The game caps catch-up after a long stall at 250 ms; severe stalls slow simulated time
- Functional reproduction, not a security audit, difficulty-balance review or verification of a creator original prompt
Not a security audit or a promise that every generation works. Low fuel, Missing floor and Greedy flips are not yet tested in a fresh AI session. This tests a Vibe1Up recipe, not a creator's original prompt.
