Build a multiplayer music game for the browser inspired by "O Vos Omnes": players sing a Renaissance motet together as a virtual choir. Tech: HTML5 canvas + vanilla JavaScript, the Web Audio API for sound, and WebSockets or WebRTC to connect players. Desktop first. Core idea: each player takes one voice part (e.g. soprano, alto, tenor, bass) of a short public-domain motet. The score scrolls in a simple notation; players hold a key (or click) to sing their notes in time, and the parts combine into the full piece. Scoring: reward timing and staying with the beat; show a choir 'harmony' meter. Solo fallback: when nobody else is online, missing parts are sung by the computer. Audio: start on the first click; use synthesized 'ah' voices or short vocal samples you have rights to. Steps: 1) one part playable with timing feedback, 2) all parts with computer voices, 3) rooms where real players take parts, 4) scoring and results, 5) your own twist. Make it your own: don't copy the original's name, art, text or code.
